At the VII All-Russian Symphony Orchestra Competition 283 applications are received
The Moscow Philharmonic has completed accepting applications for participation in the Seventh All-Russian Symphony Orchestra Competition, which will be held from July 1 to July 6, 2024 at the Philharmonic-2 concert complex. The competition is attended by musicians from 20 to 28 years old, representing 14 orchestral specialties: string instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass), woodwind instruments (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon), brass instruments (horn, trumpet, trombone , tuba), percussion instruments, harp.
This year, the competition received 283 applications from 50 regions of Russia - from the Kaliningrad region to the Primorsky Territory, from Karelia to North Ossetia-Alania. Participants represented the largest domestic higher musical institutions: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Petrozavodsk, Ural Conservatories, Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, Moscow State Institute of Music named after A. G. Schnittke, Central Music School - Academy of Performing Arts, Ufa State Institute of Culture, Siberian State Institute of Arts named after Dmitry Hvorostovsky and others. Among the foreign universities are the Belarusian Academy of Music, the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, the Buchmann-Mehta Academy in Tel Aviv, the Higher School of Music in Geneva and others.
Lists of contestants selected to participate in the full-time rounds will be published no later than June 19.
