The Seventh All-Russian Symphony Orchestra Competition has ended
On July 6, 2024, the award ceremony for the winners of the VII All-Russian Symphony Orchestra Competition took place in the Rachmaninov Concert Hall of the Philharmonic-2. The competition is held by the Moscow Philharmonic within the framework of the National Project “Culture” with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The winners of the competition were musicians from 18 cities and 6 different educational institutions. In 8 out of 14 specialties, the highest awards were not awarded; the second and third prizes in these groups were divided by the decision of the jury.
Among the representatives of the string orchestra group, 12 musicians won the title of laureate, among woodwind players - 11, among brass players - 11 (including the only tuba player); three prizes were awarded in the “percussion” specialty, and one laureate in the “harp” category.
Among the winners of the first prizes are artists of the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, the orchestra of the Moscow New Opera Theater named after E.V. Kolobov, as well as musicians who do not have permanent experience in the orchestra.
