RNYSO will perform on the New Stage of the Mariinsky Theater

On July 18, the RNYSO will perform on the New Stage of the Mariinsky Theater under the direction of Valery Gergiev. The program includes a suite from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet and Scriabin's Prometheus (Poem of Fire), soloist Denis Matsuev (piano). The concert will take place as part of the Sergei Prokofiev at the Mariinsky cycle.

It has been cooperating with the RNYSO theater for several years already: one of the first concerts of the orchestra took place on the stage of the Mariinsky-2 in 2018, several more performances took place in subsequent years. The accompanists of the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra regularly give master classes to RNYSO artists, and also serve on the jury of the All-Russian Competition for Symphony Orchestra Artists, which is held by the Moscow Philharmonic.
