RNYSO is 5 years
The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra celebrates its first anniversary - 5 years. On the festive evening of November 28, musicians who have played a special role in the life of the RNMSO from the first days of its existence - pianist Denis Matsuev and maestro Valery Gergiev - will appear on the stage of the Tchaikovsky Hall with the artists of the Youth Orchestra.
The program of the anniversary concert included a suite from the ballet “Romeo and Juliet” by Prokofiev and “Prometheus” by Scriabin: symphonic masterpieces that allow the ensemble to demonstrate mastery and mastery of different orchestral styles. This music comes into emotional resonance with the unique atmosphere of the group, reflecting the sincerity of the young musicians and the burning of their hearts. Scriabin’s grandiose score will allow almost all members of the current RNMSO lineup to appear on stage at the same time – and there are more than 100 of them.
Valery Gergiev: “Of course, we have many famous orchestras, but the five-year history of this ensemble already deserves both respect and great attention. For me, working with RNMSO is a joy, because we also have friendly relations.”
Denis Matsuev: “We went through these five years together, about which we can shoot a separate series. In the last season alone we played 16 different piano concertos. I love this team very much, I feel the atmosphere of a big family in it. Playing in “Molodezhka” is not only musical skill, but also a school of life for an orchestra player.”
