RNYSO at Lucerne Festival
On 10 August the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra made its debut at one of the leading European music forums - the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland. Two iconic works by Tchaikovsky — the Sixth ("Pathétique") Symphony and the Violin Concerto — were performed at the KKL Luzern Concert Hall. The conductor was Valentin Uryupin, the solo part was played by the violinist Sergei Dogadin. The concert was a great success.
«For young Russian musicians this is a completely fresh, «succulent» and exciting experience. They not only play brilliantly, but also examine every note thoroughly. Music events like this seem to take place ten times more often than usual, and they are of such a level that the head is spinning and the heart is pounding. As a result, a standing ovation». Ekaterina Biryukova, Colta.
«The concerts with young musicians are of high quality, worthy of the festival. The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra, a young professional ensemble, gave a great performance». Roman Kühne, Luzerner Zeitung.
