Ildar Abdrazakov will perform with the RNYSO

On October 5, renowned bass and world opera star Ildar Abdrazakov will perform a solo concert at the Tchaikovsky Hall, featuring arias from operas by Mozart and Italian composers Rossini, Donizetti, Verdi, and Boito. The singer will be accompanied by the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra, which will grace the evening with orchestral excerpts from operas; Maestro Timur Zangiev will be conducting.

This is not the first time Ildar Abdrazakov and the RNYSO have performed together. They have participated in numerous opera galas with other renowned soloists, and on May 9, 2024, at the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia," they presented a program of songs by Soviet composers dedicated to the war and the Great Victory. The upcoming concert will be the singer's first joint performance with the RNYSO in a full-length academic solo program. Ildar Abdrazakov has also developed a successful creative partnership with Timur Zangiev, conductor of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater.

In the upcoming program, Ildar Abdrazakov focuses on the Italian repertoire (including many operas by Mozart, who was nurtured in Italian musical traditions). It consists of popular arias that allow the artist not only to showcase his vocal prowess but also his dramatic talent. In the birthplace of opera, Italy, Ildar Abdrazakov has achieved authority and recognition as a brilliant interpreter of Italian music—from the golden age of bel canto to the masterpieces of verismo, from Verdi's dramatic roles to light Neapolitan songs.
