"The Magic Flute"

On December 30, the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra will take part in a concert performance of "The Magic Flute" at the Tchaikovsky Hall. The main roles in Mozart's last operatic masterpiece will be performed by an international cast of young singers who have already achieved international acclaim: Mingjie Lei (Tamino), Lydia Teuscher (Pamina), Morgan Pearse (Manostatos), Nahuel Di Pierro (Zarastro) and others.

For the RNYSO "The Magic Flute" will be the first encounter with the operatic world of Mozart. Like all the music composed by the Salzburg genius, it requires impeccable musicianship, stylistic precision and at the same time, lightness and inspiration. It is all the more important that the young musicians will perform their first Mozartian opera under the direction of Christopher Moulds, an outstanding opera conductor and a devotee of historically informed performance.
