Концерт с Эрвином Шроттом

On October 31, the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra will take part in a recital by Erwin Schrott, the world famous Uruguayan bass-baritone. On the stage of the Tchaikovsky Hall, the singer will perform arias from Mozart's Don Giovanni, Verdi's Sicilian Vespers and Don Carlos. The culmination of the evening will be "Songs of Don Quixote" by Jacques Ibert, written in 1932 for a film with the participation of Fyodor Chaliapin. As Schrott himself admits, turning to the Chaliapin repertoire will become his personal donation to Russia, the country that gave the world one of the greatest singers-actors in history.

The program also includes an overture to Sicilian Vespers and Farandol from Bizet's music to Alphonse Daudet's drama Arlesienne. Alvise Casellati is at the control panel.
